The Costa Verde Express and Al Ándalus show two very different Spains.
Landscape
The Costa Verde Express follows the green Cantabrian coast — Bilbao, the Picos de Europa, Asturian fishing villages and Galicia. Al Ándalus crosses Andalusia — Seville, Córdoba, Granada and Ronda — a world of Moorish palaces and southern heat.
The trains
Al Ándalus is a larger, palatial 1920s train. The Costa Verde Express is more intimate (46 guests, 24 suites) and shorter at six days, with cooler summer weather thanks to the Atlantic.
Cuisine
The north is arguably Spain's gastronomic heartland — pintxos, Asturian cider, Galician seafood — while Andalusia answers with sherry and jamón ibérico.
Which to choose
For cool, green coastal scenery and food-focused travel, choose the Costa Verde Express. For Moorish monuments and southern sun, choose Al Ándalus. We book and advise on both.
